A loving family in Herndon, Virginia, is
seeking a trustworthy and reliable permanent nanny to care for their two children, a three-year-old
and six-month-old, starting in August.
They need coverage for three days per
week (flexible on which days), from 7:30
AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
● Provide attentive and nurturing
care for both children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
● Engage the three-year-old in fun,
developmentally appropriate activities and encourage independent play.
● Care for a six-month old baby,
including feeding, diaper changes, and naps.
● Transport the children as needed
(a family vehicle will be provided for this).
● Assist with light child-related
household tasks, such as tidying play areas and preparing simple meals/snacks.
● Drop off and pick up
three-year-olds from preschool as needed. She attends a half day program.
● Follow the family's gentle
parenting approach, which includes firm boundaries and loss of privileges if
misbehaving.
● Communicate openly with parents,
including when they are working from home.
Requirements:
● Previous experience caring for babies
and toddlers that is verifiable by references.
● A clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
● Reliable personal transportation
to get to the family’s home.
● Comfortable working in a home
where a parent may be present.
● Must be pet friendly. Family has a dog.
● Must pass a background check
● Must be (or willing to become)
CPR/1st Aid Certified
Compensation:
● $24-$25 based on experience.
● Guaranteed weekly hours
