Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, provide menu recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, including processing payments via POS systems and giving correct change.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, counters, and service areas by bussing and resetting for new guests.
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Support kitchen staff when needed with basic food preparation or bussing duties during busy periods.
- Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate guest seating efficiently.
- Foster guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Experience with culinary tasks or food preparation adds value to your role as a server/cashier.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables and transactions smoothly during busy hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is essential.
- Excellent guest service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently.
