Warehouse Operations Manager

Greater New Orleans Area

An established and respected transportation, warehousing, and moving company in the Greater New Orleans area is seeking an experienced Operations & Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, transportation logistics, fleet management, and personnel.

This leadership position is ideal for an organized, hands-on manager with a proven background in warehouse logistics, freight operations, and employee supervision. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency while maintaining the highest level of customer service.

• Direct all daily warehouse operations, receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping activities.
• Supervise drivers, movers, warehouse personnel, packers, and helpers.
• Coordinate scheduling for local residential moves, commercial freight, and warehouse deliveries.
• Manage interstate household shipments through a nationally recognized van line affiliation.
• Oversee company fleet operations, including vehicle inspections, preventive maintenance scheduling, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor labor utilization, productivity, and overtime while maintaining efficient staffing levels.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and applicable transportation regulations.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse operation.
• Resolve operational issues and provide exceptional customer service.
• Work directly with ownership to improve productivity, profitability, and operational performance.

Applicants must possess:

• Minimum five (5) years of warehouse logistics and freight supervision experience
• Demonstrated experience managing warehouse operations and transportation personnel
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities
• Experience scheduling crews, dispatching vehicles, and coordinating deliveries
• Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse best practices
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office; experience with logistics or warehouse management software is preferred
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Experience within the moving, storage, transportation, or logistics industry is strongly preferred.

• Full-time salaried position
• Expected work schedule of 45–50 hours per week
• Periodic weekend work required based on operational needs
