A&M Technologies, Inc. has an opening for a Red Hat Linux System Administrator to support the Intelligence Sector.
The job duties are as follows:
- Manage the full lifecycle of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers, including deployment, configuration, patching, and maintenance on virtual platforms (VMware)
- Use Red Hat Satellite for large-scale system management, including:
- Configuring and managing software repositories, content views, and life cycle environments
- Orchestrating patch management and security updates across the enterprise infrastructure to ensure compliance
- Develop and implement automation for routine administrative tasks and infrastructure deployment using Ansible and Bash/Python scripting
- Conduct advanced system monitoring, performance tuning, and root cause analysis to ensure optimal system health, stability, and performance
- Create and maintain detailed system documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles for use by other team members and junior administrators
Required Clearance: TS/SCI CI Poly
Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years, master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years. Required qualifications include the following:
- Must be compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
- 3-6 years of experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating within a team and with stakeholders.
Desired Qualifications:
- Practical experience applying DISA STIGs and DoD security checklists for system hardening in a production environment
- Ability to automate STIG compliance tasks and configuration management using scripting (Bash, Python) and configuration management tools like Ansible
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or other advanced Red Hat Specialist certifications
