What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pest Control Technician position at A&M Pest Control?
Overview
A&M Pest control is looking for one experienced pest technician. We are under new management and looking for a person to help us improve and build our service and reputation. This is an opportunity to get in at the beginning of a new chapter. The ideal candidate will be experienced in ant control, rodent control, and Advance Termite Station installation and maintenance. We offer a flexible schedule, a paycheck year round, 10% commission on new accounts, and the opportunity to be first in line to grow with us.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential, commercial, and outdoor areas to identify pest activity and potential entry points
- Apply pest control treatments using appropriate chemicals, traps, or bait stations following safety protocols
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, treatments performed, and follow-up recommendations for clients
- Educate customers on pest prevention strategies and safe handling of pest control products
- Drive company vehicle to various job sites while adhering to all traffic safety regulations
Requirements
- Prior experience or knowledge in pest control, lawn care, farming, landscaping, or agriculture is highly desirable
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation between job sites
- Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor inspections and treatments in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members
- Willingness to learn about new pest control techniques and stay updated on industry standards
- Basic understanding of sales principles is a plus for promoting additional services or products
- A MA core applicator License. (Candidates with a cat 41 or Termite Category will be a plus.)
