A.M. Peisch & Company is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our Colchester, Vermont office. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished tax professional to manage a diverse portfolio of complex tax engagements, provide proactive tax planning and advisory services, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and mentor developing professionals. The successful candidate will work closely with firm leadership to deliver exceptional client service while helping support the continued success of the tax practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage a diverse portfolio of tax engagements for individuals, trusts, estates, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
• Provide proactive tax planning, consulting, and advisory services that help clients achieve their financial and business objectives.
• Review and oversee the preparation of federal and state tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business objectives and providing strategic tax guidance.
• Research complex tax issues and communicate planning opportunities, risks, and practical solutions to clients.
• Manage engagement planning, budgets, workflow, staffing, deadlines, and profitability.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and build long-term relationships through exceptional service.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop tax associates and senior associates, providing coaching and professional guidance.
• Collaborate with partners on client service initiatives, practice development, and strategic planning.
• Participate in business development efforts, including networking, proposal development, referral relationship management, and identifying opportunities to expand client services.
• Contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm's tax practice through leadership, innovation, and operational improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS
• CPA license required.
• 6–10 years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of federal and state taxation.
• Experience managing multiple tax engagements and serving as the primary client contact.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication, relationship management, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in practice development, business development, and long-term career growth within a collaborative public accounting firm.

Compensation & Benefits Include:
• Salary Range: $110,000–$140,000 annually, plus performance-based bonus incentives.
• Summer flexibility with a four-day work week from Memorial Day through Labor Day, providing additional time to recharge while maintaining a strong commitment to client service.
