Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with strong aluminum TIG skills and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment in a marine manufacturing facility, where precision and attention to detail are crucial.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding primarily, with SOME MIG ability on aluminum.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Assemble components and structures according to project requirements.
- Operate forklifts safely to move materials around the worksite.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication.
- Proficiency in TIG welding.
- Familiarity with ASME codes & standards related to welding practices.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
