Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in concrete finishing and related trades, with a strong understanding of construction processes and safety protocols. This role involves working on various projects, including commercial, residential, and renovation sites, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications. Candidates should possess a solid foundation in construction techniques, hand and power tools, and blueprint reading to effectively contribute to our team’s success.
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools, trowels, and power tools to achieve smooth, level finishes
- Install rebar and steel reinforcement as per schematics and project requirements
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to interpret project specifications
- Set forms for concrete placement using carpentry skills such as framing, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing
- Install or repair concrete features such as stairs, curbs, sidewalks, and decorative elements like stucco or masonry finishes
- Perform demolition or restoration work involving concrete structures when necessary
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure proper curing, surface smoothness, and adherence to safety standards
- Collaborate with team members on site to coordinate tasks including heavy lifting, scaffolding setup, and site cleanup
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling materials and disposing of waste according to safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction trades such as masonry
- Mechanical knowledge of concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Strong understanding of construction estimating processes and project timelines
- Knowledge of rebar installation, metal stud framing, tile laying, roofing basics, caulking techniques, and restoration work is preferred
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as trowels, floats, chisels; power tools including grinders and saws
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or on scaffolding when required
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or equipment operation is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality assurance standards

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
