Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of forced air furnaces, central air conditioning units, and mini-split systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure optimal performance of HVAC systems in residential settings.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair furnaces and air conditioning systems and related equipment.
- Diagnose issues with HVAC systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on furnaces and air conditioning units to ensure efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems related to HVAC systems.
- Conduct field service visits to assess and address customer needs.
- Collaborate with team members on HVAC design projects and property maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing tasks, including welding and handling refrigerants.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and inventory.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC industry or related fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in construction or appliance repair.
- Familiarity with refrigeration principles and ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for HVAC design and installation.
- Experience in plumbing or boiler maintenance is advantageous.
- Valid driver’s license is required for travel to job sites.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
