Duties
- Lead and supervise landscaping crews to complete lawn care, planting, hardscape installation, and grounds maintenance projects efficiently and safely
- Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely project completion
- Oversee irrigation system installation, repair, and management to optimize landscape health and water efficiency
- Identify plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and maintenance; diagnose issues related to pests or disease
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation tools with skill and safety awareness
- Manage crew management responsibilities including training new team members, enforcing safety protocols, and fostering teamwork
- Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, equipment usage, safety incidents, and client communications
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, or gardening with a focus on outdoor work environments
- Demonstrated supervising experience leading landscaping crews on construction projects or similar settings
- Strong knowledge of horticulture practices including plant identification and tree care techniques
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently; experience with grounds maintenance tools essential
- Familiarity with irrigation management systems and hardscape installation processes
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team while maintaining high safety standards
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles required; ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials regularly
