Delivery Driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, route management, and efficient handling of deliveries using commercial vehicles. Prior experience with warehouse operations, heavy lifting, and driving large vehicles such as box trucks is highly valued. The Delivery Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting our logistics operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles, including box trucks and other large vehicles, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Load and unload goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques, ensuring items are secured properly for transit.
• Deliver products to customers across designated routes, adhering to scheduled delivery times.
• Assist with route planning to optimize delivery efficiency and reduce delays.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during deliveries.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and proper functioning of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
• Handle heavy lifting and moving tasks as needed during loading and unloading processes.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; Commercial driver’s license (CDL) or driver certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with familiarity in route driving and navigation.
• Experience operating box trucks or similar large vehicles; knowledge of manual transmission is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy items safely (up to 50 pounds or more) regularly during loading/unloading activities.
• Warehouse experience or familiarity with forklift operation and pallet jacks is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with professional communication abilities.
• Reliable transportation with the ability to work independently in various weather conditions.
• Prior experience in heavy lifting, moving, or logistics roles is beneficial but not required. This position offers an opportunity to be an essential part of our logistics team by ensuring efficient deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
