Responsibilities
- Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones.
- Foster a safe, welcoming classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and classroom management strategies.
- Engage children in activities that support childhood development, including literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress, behavior, and developmental needs through regular updates and meetings.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Maintain detailed classroom records, lesson plans, attendance logs, and incident reports as required by licensing standards.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is preferred, however not mandatory.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare policies, and health & safety procedures such as first aid and CPR certification.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and community partners to support child welfare and educational goals.
- Previous experience teaching physical education or implementing early intervention programs is a plus, however not mandatory.

Pay: $24.27 - $29.23 per hour
