Job Title: Commercial/Residential Drain Cleaning Technician

Location: Salem, NH (1 hour service radius)
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Company Ownership
Compensation: 30% commission based position. Average employee receives $5,000.00-$6,000.00 a month.
Schedule: M-F, some weekends/on-call

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial/Residential Drain Technician to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in diagnosing and resolving drain and sewer line issues in commercial settings using industry-standard tools and equipment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, customer service skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to service calls for commercial drain issues including clogs, backups, and slow drains.
• Operate mechanical and high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and maintain sewer and drain systems.
• Perform video inspections using CCTV drain cameras to identify blockages or damage.
• Locate and mark underground sewer and drainage lines using electronic locators.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding diagnostics, repair solutions, and service completion.
• Maintain proper records of services performed, materials used, and customer interactions.
• Follow all safety guidelines, protocols, and regulations.
• Maintain company equipment, tools, and service vehicles in clean and operable condition.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency calls as needed.
• Upsell additional services and preventive maintenance agreements when appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of experience in commercial or residential drain cleaning or plumbing services preferred.
• Working knowledge of drain cleaning equipment, including: Cable machines / drain snakes, High-pressure water jetters, Sewer inspection cameras and Line locators.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or service orders (preferred).
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Willingness to be on-call and respond to after-hours or emergency situations.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Experience working in restaurants, hospitals, retail, industrial, or multi-tenant commercial properties.

Work Environment:

• Job sites include commercial kitchens, rooftops, basements, parking lots, and utility tunnels.
• Exposure to waste water, confined spaces, and variable weather conditions.
• Must be comfortable working in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.

Projected Total Compensation: $5,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month
