What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet & Equipment Mechanic position at A-Line?
A-Line is seeking an experienced Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet, trailers, heavy equipment, and industrial processing machinery. This is a hands-on role for someone who can diagnose problems, perform repairs independently, and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Repair and maintain heavy equipment, trailers, trucks, and industrial machinery
- Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime
- Complete welding and fabrication repairs as needed
- Maintain service records and parts inventory
- Support facility and equipment maintenance projects
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of mechanic experience in heavy equipment, diesel, industrial maintenance, agriculture, manufacturing, trucking, construction, or similar industries
- Experience diagnosing hydraulic and electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot equipment failures
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- CDL Class A or ability to obtain preferred
- Must provide own hand tools
