CDL - Fleet/Regional Driver

• 2-3 overnights a week

Job Summary:

Over the Road Regional Drivers safely and legally transport loads to and from our processing facility in a timely and professional manner.

Responsibilities:

• Safely secure and transport loads to and from the Tonkawa facility using flat beds, step deck, double drop, gondolas, box trailers, and dump trailers
• Carefully inspect, manipulate, and maneuver hoses on tanker loads
• Perform truck inspections before and after each trip to ensure that all mechanical systems are in good working order
• Perform preventative maintenance as needed
• Carefully plan routes to ensure that deliveries are completed in a timely manner
• Document and log work/rest periods, mileage spent driving, retain fuel/toll receipts and weigh station scale tickets on the electronic logging device
• Comply with state and federal transportation regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Help with loading goods at worksite and ensure loads are secured for travel
• Maintains shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to office staff when delivery route is complete
• Promptly reports any vehicle defects, accidents, or violations to the Transportation Manager
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points

Education and Experience:

• Must hold an Active Class-A Commercial Driver License
• Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations
• Must have current DOT physical card or be able to obtain DOT physical card
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, CB, ELD, etc.)
• One year of over the road experience preferred
• Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements preferred. *Required within 90 days of hire*

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time
• Must be able to climb, stoop and bend under trailer

Pay: $58,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
