Telehealth Nurse Practitioner – Full-Time or PRN | Remote

Schedule Options (PRN or Full-Time)
PRN Requirements
- Minimum 1 shift per week (8 hours); optional up to 40 hours based on patient volume
- Two weekends (Sat & Sun) every 6-week cycle
- One on-call day per 6-week cycle (or additional shift pick-up)
- One major holiday & one minor holiday
- Shift availability between 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM, flexible partial/half shifts permitted
Full-Time Requirements
- 4 days/week, 8- or 10-hour shifts
- Every other weekend
- Multiple shift options available
- 1 minor holiday & 2 major holidays
Position Summary
The Telehealth Nurse Practitioner provides virtual patient care services through a remote technology platform. This role independently delivers holistic, evidence-based care including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, counseling, and care coordination for patients 18 months and older. Encounters are documented utilizing an electronic health record (EHR).
Key Responsibilities
Patient-Centered Quality & Safety
- Evaluate primary care, acute, chronic, and transitional care patients
- Provide health counseling including medication guidance, contraceptive care, pregnancy prevention, and STI prevention
- Document all patient encounters in the EHR per policy and practice standards
- Coordinate care with internal and external healthcare partners
- Work effectively within an interdisciplinary care team
Customer Service Excellence
- Deliver an exceptional and compassionate virtual patient experience
- Support patient engagement and satisfaction through proactive communication
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with PHI and HIPAA
Healthcare Environment & Operations
- Reprioritize throughout the day to meet patient and operational needs
- Participate in workflow support tasks (lab follow-up, phone call management, supply ordering)
- Resolve conflict and maintain positive working relationships
- Adopt new service offerings and care models quickly
Business Acumen
- Support clinic-level business operations including documentation, billing, insurance verification and payment collection
- Take responsibility for operational outcomes and practice success
- Participate in revenue cycle processes including nightly deposit preparation when applicable

- Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and sound clinical judgment
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medically relevant NP experience
- Must currently hold at least four (4) ACTIVE Nurse Practitioner licenses from the following states: NC, SC, GA, VA, PA, NY, NJ
- BLS certification
- High-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload)
- Unrestricted NP license and ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed
- Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication
- Strong organization, multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Comfort with technology and virtual care
Education
- Master’s degree Family Nurse Practitioner program
- National Board Certification
- Active Advanced Practice licensure in applicable states
