Systems Engineer III (W2 Contract Only)
We’re seeking an experienced Systems Engineer III with broad technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a track record in product development. In this role, you will guide systems engineering activities throughout the product life cycle, ensuring solutions meet both user and business needs.
You’ll play a critical role in translating customer and stakeholder needs into system requirements, coordinating integration activities, and driving continuous improvement across teams. This position includes 10% domestic travel and offers the potential to convert from temporary to permanent employment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead system/product-level feasibility and risk assessments
- Translate voice-of-customer needs into system and product requirements
- Coordinate system-level product development and integration activities
- Resolve in-market product issues and investigate system behavior problems
- Facilitate collaboration across engineering, marketing, clinical, software, and quality teams
- Apply DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) best practices to projects
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 5 years of related work experience (or equivalent advanced degree experience)
- Strong technical background in Systems Engineering, medical device development, or similar
- Expertise in requirements management, system integration/testing, architectural planning, and design
- Experience with Reliability Engineering, Project Management, and Failure Modes Effects Analysis
- Knowledge of DFSS, statistical test design/analysis, or Critical Parameter Management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or lead cross-functional teams
- Agile environment experience is a plus
