This role ensures accurate processing of patient records, proper patient positioning, and timely completion of imaging procedures. The technologist will follow established protocols, safety standards, and customer service expectations while delivering compassionate patient care.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOperate MRI equipment to produce diagnostic-quality MR scansEnsure all patient records, orders, and documentation are accurately processed prior to proceduresProperly position patients and apply or adjust restraining devices as neededCalibrate and operate MRI equipment in accordance with safety and quality standardsMonitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to patient needsCommunicate effectively with patients, physicians, and healthcare staffMaintain timely workflow and ensure procedures are completed efficientlyUtilize computer and filing systems for patient records managementPerform additional radiology procedures as trained and approved (e.g., select X-ray procedures)Initiate CPR when required and respond to emergency situationsDemonstrate behaviors consistent with customer service and patient dignity standardsPerform other duties as assigned based on training and skill levelREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation:Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic TechnologyGraduate of an approved school of MRI Technology and/or ARRT-registered in MRICertifications (Required for Submission):ARRT (MRI)BLS (Basic Life Support)Experience:One (1) year of MRI Technologist experience preferredLicensure & Registration:Post-primary eligibility for individuals currently holding ARRT certification and registration (NMTCB or ARDMS) with required education and clinical experience to obtain MRI registry certification within one year of hireSKILLS & COMPETENCIESStrong patient communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to safely lift, transfer, and position patientsAbility to calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot imaging equipmentKnowledge of MRI safety protocols and best practicesAbility to work with diverse patient populations while maintaining respect and dignityStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a healthcare teamProficiency with computer systems for imaging and patient documentationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift and position patients safelyAbility to stand, walk, and move throughout the shiftAbility to perform repetitive tasks and operate imaging equipment for extended periodsADDITIONAL INFORMATIONOn-site positionMust have valid BLS and ARRT certifications on file to be submittedSchedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per weekAssignment may extend or convert to permanent based on performance and business needs
