About the Role (W2 Contract)
We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team and provide high-quality technical support for desktop and laptop systems. In this role, you’ll configure new workstations, perform system imaging, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and manage tickets through ServiceNow. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with computer repair and imaging tools, as well as strong communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and deploy new workstations for users
- Upgrade and maintain existing equipment
- Re-image and repair computers as needed
- Perform data migrations and restorations
- Utilize ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems to manage and resolve requests
- Handle hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Safely move and dispose of returned IT equipment from field sites
- Maintain inventory and ensure accurate equipment tracking
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of PC hardware components and configurations
- Ability to lift and move 25–50 lbs as needed
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA A Certification (preferred)
- Any desktop/laptop repair certifications welcomed
- Experience with Intune and SCCM for imaging
- Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
- No weekends or on-call work
