Dispensing Pharmacy Technician Compensation

• The pay for this position is $20.00–$23.00 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Dispensing Pharmacy Technician Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs
• Onsite position
• Shifts Available:
• 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Please confirm shift availability on your resume
• Required availability: ability to work any of the listed shifts

Dispensing Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

• Maintain automated dispensing system inventory and complete daily restocks
• Visit client sites to troubleshoot automation issues and conduct medication audits
• Manage all automation maintenance and service needs
• Prepare finished prescription products and ensure proper labeling
• Accurately and efficiently fill medication orders under pharmacist supervision
• Operate blister card packaging equipment; maintain automation canisters and pouch unit-dose packaging processes
• Process returned medications and prepare items for recycling or disposal
• Pre-pack, label, and stock frequently used medications during low-volume periods
• Assist with shipping functions and preparing orders for delivery
• Follow all government regulations, including HIPAA
• Other duties as assigned based on business needs

Dispensing Pharmacy Technician Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Active Pharmacy Technician license/certification as required in Illinois
• 1 year of pharmacy experience (LTC pharmacy preferred)
• Experience with pharmacy automation systems (Pyxis, Omnicell) preferred
• Basic math, computer, and data entry skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand or walk for up to 8 hours per day
• Must be willing to travel locally for client support
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
