Pay Rate
- 1–2 years experience: $17/hour
- 3–4 years experience: $18/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a Credentialing Specialist I to support high-volume provider credentialing operations within a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is responsible for ensuring provider data is accurately processed, tracked, and maintained in alignment with organizational standards and NCQA requirements.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a production-driven environment where accuracy and turnaround time are critical. This position offers the opportunity to grow into more advanced end-to-end credentialing responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform credentialing and re-credentialing activities in accordance with established plan guidelines and compliance standards
- Triage and manage daily credentialing inventory to ensure timely workflow completion
- Communicate professionally with providers, office staff, and external stakeholders to obtain required documentation
- Compile and prepare credentialing files for committee review and decision-making
- Process, track, and maintain credentialing applications and provider records within required timelines
- Generate and utilize reports to support workflow tracking and operational reporting needs
- Maintain quality and accuracy while working in a high-volume production environment
Required Qualifications
- 1-4 years of experience in credentialing, provider data, healthcare operations, medical office support, billing, claims, data entry, or customer service within a healthcare environment
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and MS Office skills
- Strong reading comprehension with the ability to interpret complex documentation
- Ability to self-manage, follow direction, and perform in a fast-paced production setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managed care, insurance, or provider data environments
- Prior exposure to credentialing processes or NCQA standards
