Position Overview
As a Laundromat Attendant, you’ll be the face of our store and a critical part of our customer's experience. You’ll assist patrons with operating machines, fulfill drop-off laundry services (Wash-Dry-Fold), and maintain a clean, friendly, and professional environment. This is a highly interactive, hands-on role best suited for someone who loves helping others and takes pride in delivering great service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a smile and a helpful attitude
- Assist customers to improve their customer experience, such as providing support with purchasing cards required to use the machines, operating machines and understanding store procedures
- Help customers carry in laundry if needed and answer service-related questions
- Manage and process wash-dry-fold laundry orders to company quality standards
- Maintain store cleanliness (wiping down machines and soap trays, cleaning lint trays, emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms and floors etc.)
- Adhere to all store safety and hygiene procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for all customers and staff
- Monitor machine operation and alert management to any issues
- Use store technology (e.g., kiosks, point of sale systems, laundry management apps)
- Support opening and/or closing procedures
- Work collaboratively with teammates and store managers
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written) — required
- Passion for customer service and friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to lift laundry bags up to 25 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Able to learn new systems quickly (apps, touchscreens, POS)
- Attention to detail, especially when handling laundry service orders
- Must be available to work one or more weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday)
- Shifts are scheduled between 7 AM and 10 PM, typically in morning or afternoon blocks
- Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and cover additional shifts as needed is highly valued
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience working in a laundromat or similar service environment
- Prior customer-facing experience (hospitality, retail, service roles)
- Experience with wash-dry-fold or cleaning duties
- Strong organizational skills and reliability
