Role Description The Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role located at our TN facility. This position oversees the daily operations of the service department, including coordinating service schedules, assigning work orders to technicians, and ensuring quality, timely repairs on RVs and travel trailers. The Service Manager communicates with customers about service needs, estimates, and timelines, and works closely with parts and sales teams to support efficient workflow. Additional responsibilities include managing service staff performance, maintaining safety and compliance standards, monitoring inventory related to service, and resolving escalated customer concerns. The role requires hands-on leadership, clear communication, and a focus on delivering a positive service experience for every customer.
Qualifications
- Experience in service management, automotive or RV repair operations, or a related field, preferably in a dealership or service center environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including the ability to coach, motivate, and schedule technicians and support staff.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, accessible language and manage customer expectations.
- Organizational and time-management abilities, including handling multiple work orders, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining accurate service records.
- Basic technical understanding of RV systems (electrical, plumbing, mechanical) or willingness to learn, with the ability to collaborate effectively with service technicians.
- Proficiency with service management software, scheduling tools, and standard office applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, and documentation).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training, certifications, or experience in RV or automotive service is a plus.
