The Charlevoix facility has an Inventory Control opening on 3rd shift. Training will be conducted on days.

FUNCTION: Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type of material, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment; and compiles records concerned with storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:· Accept responsibility for your Safety and the Safety of others by using Safety awareness to eliminate unsafe acts and correct unsafe conditions.

· Participate in Lean events and initiatives to support a culture of continuous improvement.

· Provide correct and accurate information on finished and raw good tags.

· Ensure proper packaging is being utilized.

· Compare material tags with move transactions within the MRP and/or AS400 System.

· Compare inventories to office records or compute figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory.

· Responsible to work to performance / output standards per work instructions to meet departmental expectations and customer demand.

· Count material or supplies in stock and post totals to inventory records. (may involve operating forklift)

· Compile information on receipt or disbursement of material or supplies, and compute inventory balance.

· Compile stock control records and information such as consumption rate and characteristics of items in storage, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.

· Enter daily labor sheets and update production reports (raw materials, finished goods, etc.) in computer.

· Responsible to maintain attendance and punctuality per company policies and procedures.

· Responsible to work per schedule and have prior approvals before working any overtime.

· Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjust errors in computation or count, or investigate and report reasons for discrepancies. Responsible for accurate recording of the quantity of parts to be produced at each press and in secondary.

· Cycle count when time permits and adjust errors in computation of count, or investigate and report reasons for discrepancies.

· Update and maintain item master database, enter changes, additions and deletions to ABC codes, safety stocks, minimums and lot sizes (dependent on facility).

· Update inventory to reflect stock removed as scrap, rejected parts, or returns (dependent on facility).

· Responsible for any other special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school

· Six months to one year experience in similar environment

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office

· Excellent written and verbal skills

· Forklift Operation (dependent on facility)

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
