As an Executive Recruiter with A.L. Merryman Company, you will be the driving force behind building leadership teams for top general, electrical, and mechanical construction firms, as well as leading engineering and architecture companies across the country. This role goes beyond traditional recruiting—it's about being a trusted partner to clients, working closely with C-suite executives to plan for their organization's future and drive strategic success.

Additionally, if you're local to Oregon or Washington, you'll have the opportunity to work in our temp division, providing blue-collar labor and professional contract staffing to the construction, industrial, and manufacturing industries.

What You’ll Do

• Recruit Nationally: Lead recruiting efforts for critical roles, including management, field supervision, administration, preconstruction, estimating, engineering, and C-suite positions for the top design-build and construction firms.
• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate directly with clients to identify leadership needs, define responsibilities, and plan for succession.
• Team Building: Develop strategies to assemble dynamic teams that align with organizational goals and enhance group performance.
• Leadership Succession Planning: Work with C-suite leaders to plan for future leadership transitions and address immediate and long-term organizational gaps.
• Mergers & Acquisitions: Partner with our M&A team to identify potential merger or acquisition targets, acting as a key point of contact throughout the process.
• Market Leadership: Build relationships with top industry professionals and position A.L. Merryman Company as a go-to partner for talent acquisition and organizational strategy.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven Expertise: Experience in executive recruiting or a related field, with a focus on construction, engineering, or architecture industries.
• Relationship-Driven Approach: A passion for building strong client and candidate relationships, coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strategic Insight: The ability to understand organizational dynamics, group interactions, and individual personalities to make the best talent recommendations.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: A proactive attitude with the drive to lead and deliver results for high-profile clients in a competitive market.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the roles and responsibilities of key positions within construction, engineering, and architecture firms.

• Headquarters: Vancouver, WA
• Office: Huntington Beach, CA
• Remote Options: Work from home with some minor travel required (based on experience).
• Client-Site Opportunities: Options to work on-site for select clients, depending on the project.
