Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial flooring projects across a diverse portfolio that includes multifamily developments, apartment communities, corporate office spaces, tenant improvements, healthcare facilities, hospitality, education, retail, and other commercial construction projects.
This individual will manage projects from contract award through closeout while serving as the primary point of contact for owners, developers, general contractors, architects, vendors, and field teams. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced construction environment where communication, leadership, and problem-solving are essential to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial flooring projects simultaneously from preconstruction through final completion.
- Review contracts, plans, specifications, and project scope to ensure a complete understanding of project requirements.
- Develop project schedules and coordinate labor, subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries.
- Partner with estimating, purchasing, warehouse, and field operations to ensure successful project execution.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, change orders, billing, and overall project profitability.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients, general contractors, architects, vendors, and internal teams.
- Conduct project kickoff meetings and provide regular project updates to all stakeholders.
- Identify project risks early and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule.
- Negotiate and process change orders while documenting scope modifications.
- Visit project sites to monitor installation quality, production, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure projects meet company quality standards, safety expectations, and client requirements.
- Complete project closeout documentation including punch lists, warranties, final invoicing, and turnover packages.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management, operations, estimating, account management, or business development.
- Experience working within commercial construction or residential construction environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional customer service.
- Strong organizational, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, Sage, Spectrum, or similar construction software is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to local project sites.
