A&L Marine is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team. This position involves working on a variety of recreational boats and watercraft, including both inboard and outboard motors, while also helping maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of our shop and property.

The ideal candidate should be mechanically inclined, willing to learn, able to work independently, and not afraid of getting their hands dirty. Experience working on boats or marine engines is preferred, but we are willing to consider individuals with strong mechanical skills and a willingness to learn.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Marine Repair & Maintenance

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain inboard and outboard boat motors.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on boats and marine engines.
• Assist with engine repairs and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Work on various types of recreational boats and watercraft.
• Assist with boat winterization and seasonal maintenance.
• Perform trailer repairs and general boat maintenance as needed.
• Install accessories and other marine equipment when required.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and properly maintained.
• Follow proper safety procedures when working on boats, engines, tools, and equipment.

Shop & Property Maintenance

• Keep the shop clean, organized, and free of unnecessary debris.
• Sweep, clean, organize, and maintain work areas as needed.
• Take out trash and keep shop areas presentable.
• Maintain the outside areas around the shop.
• Mow grass around the shop and property as needed.
• Weedeat around the shop, buildings, driveway, yard, and other areas as needed.
• Help keep the yard and property neat and presentable.
• Assist with general property maintenance and cleanup when needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience preferred.
• Marine experience is a plus but not required for the right candidate.
• Ability to work on both inboard and outboard engines or willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and hand tools.
• Ability to operate lawn equipment such as mowers and weed eaters.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Must be dependable, hardworking, and willing to perform a variety of duties.
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and working around boats and mechanical equipment. The employee must be capable of performing physical labor, including operating lawn equipment and assisting with moving equipment and materials.
