Our customers include independent retailers, supermarkets, institutions, and food service providers.Job Summary: The Transportation Manager oversees all transportation operations for A&L fleet and 3rd party logistics, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant fleet management while directly supervising all drivers, supervisors and coordinating daily logistics activities.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Directly supervise all Baltimore drivers, including hiring, scheduling, performance management, and disciplinary actions and assist with oversight of Bensalem drivers via Transportation Supervisor.Plan and oversee daily dispatch operations, assign routes, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely deliveries for Bensalem DC.Oversee compliance with DOT regulations, company safety standards, and driver documentation requirements.Oversee truck maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections for the A&L fleet.Manage fueling services and fuel card programs, ensuring accurate tracking and cost control.Communicate and coordinate with third-party transportation providers to ensure on-time and cost-effective deliveries.Support logistics and warehouse operations by maintaining accurate delivery records, EZ-PASS accounts, and routing data.Analyze transportation performance and costs, identifying efficiency improvements and resolving issues promptly.Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
