A Kids Palace Daycare is seeking a reliable and motivating Kitchen & Sanitation Team member to support daily operations. This position is responsible for preparing meals, and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Duties
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks in accordance with state guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times
- Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and properly store food
- Follow basic food safety and hygiene practices
Facility Duties
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, and common areas daily
- Take out trash and maintain overall center cleanliness
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and cleaning products
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must meet Kentucky child care licensing requirements
- Ability to pass background check and required screenings
- Experience in child care or kitchen/janitorial work is a plus, but not required
Skills & Requirements
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to multitask and move between duties efficiently
- Comfortable working around children
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Must take Louisville Food Manager Certification Course
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Lift up to 30 pounds
- Frequent bending, walking, and cleaning tasks
