Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Manual Machinist located in Houston, TX. The Manual Machinist will be responsible for operating manual machines, fabricating and repairing industrial parts, adhering to precise specifications, and performing quality assurance checks. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints, setting up and maintaining equipment, and collaborating with team members to meet project requirements efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
- Must have your own tools
- Proficient in operating manual lathes, mills, and other traditional machining equipment
- Skilled in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong understanding of measurement tools, tolerances, and quality control processes
- Capability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and components
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail, precision, and safety protocols
- At least 5 years of prior experience in a similar role or in the manufacturing/industrial repair industry is highly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus
- TWIC is also a plus
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test, as well as maintain passability randomly.
