A Johnston Therapy, PLLC is a collaborative team of mental health professionals dedicated to providing high-quality individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Our therapists integrate traditional psychotherapeutic approaches and specialize in treating complex trauma, co-dependency, work stress, life transitions, family conflict, depression, anxiety, parenting challenges, relationship issues, and more.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our growing team. This role involves providing direct clinical services in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Therapists are expected to maintain a caseload of at least 20 client sessions per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couples and/or family therapy in-person or via telehealth at our physical office location.
• Complete initial intake and ongoing sessions to gather biopsychosocial history and identify client needs, care goals, continuing care options and termination planning.
• Assess for risk, including imminent danger; manage high-risk situations, develop safety plans, coordinate necessary services, and respond to crises as needed
• Conduct clinical assessments and establish diagnoses based on client history, interviews, observations, testing, and collaboration with team members.
• Care Integration: Utilize therapeutic models to ensure consistent, high-quality clinical care across all interactions.
• Develop, review, and implement individualized treatment plans. Discuss plans with clients and adjust based on clinical approach, assessment findings, and ongoing progress.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including but not limited to: treatment records, progress notes, and reports in accordance with insurance requirements and practice policies.
• Collaborate with referral sources, providers, and caregivers to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client records in compliance with HIPAA and applicable federal and state regulations
• Maintain active state licensure and meet all professional requirements (Maintaining Liability Insurance, Maintaining CEU’s, etc.)
• Adhere to the ethical standards and values of the social work profession
• Perform general office duties and other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Possess a Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
• Hold a current license as an LMSW in the state of ND and maintain professional licensure and/or certification according to the North Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners throughout employment.
• Have current and ongoing liability insurance.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of the team.
• Have an accepting, non-judgmental attitude and demonstrate cultural competence.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written format.
• Demonstrate the ability to motivate people and identify/apply resources effectively.
• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, colleagues, and fellow staff members.

Compensation & Benefits

• W2 employee
• Competitive compensation
• Estimated initial annual earnings: $42,000–$65,000 (depending on caseload and payer mix)

Work Location

All sessions are conducted either in-person or via telehealth from our Grand Forks office. Therapists are required to complete all sessions on-site.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
