Role Overview
The Inside Sales Representative supports customers by quoting, order entry, follow-up, and account support while actively contributing to sales growth and margin management. This role is sales-driven, not just customer service. Accuracy, urgency, and follow-through are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound customer calls, emails, and walk-in requests
- Prepare accurate quotes including correct part numbers, specs, pricing, and lead times
- Enter orders correctly and confirm delivery expectations
- Follow up on open quotes, open orders, backorders, and customer requests
- Work with purchasing and vendors to source product and improve margins
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Support outside sales reps with pricing, availability, and order status
- Maintain clean and accurate records in the ERP system
- Communicate proactively with customers when issues arise
- Build long-term customer relationships through reliability and responsiveness

- Exposure to purchasing or vendor interaction is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $45,000 - $55,000 (based on experience)
