Responsibilities
- Install solar panels, mounting systems, inverters, and electrical components following blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate system setup
- Connect high voltage and low voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and construction site machinery such as forklifts to facilitate installations
- Perform fixture installation, wiring, troubleshooting, and system testing to guarantee optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems for quality assurance and compliance with local codes and regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician or in electrical installation within construction environments
- Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, schematics, and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with NEC standards and electrical codes applicable to solar installations
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, roofing techniques, plumbing (for certain system components), and construction site safety practices
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment is a plus
- Strong electrical experience with fixture installation and wiring of solar energy systems
- Construction site experience demonstrating adaptability in dynamic environments
- Valid electrician license or certification preferred; relevant training in solar or renewable energy is advantageous
