Responsibilities
- Greeting customers warmly and listen carefully to their vehicle concerns to accurately document service requests
- Explain repair estimates and service options clearly, ensuring customers understand their vehicle’s needs
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and schedule services efficiently
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, brake repairs, and transmission services to enhance customer satisfaction and shop productivity only if needed.
- Prepare detailed auto estimates using automotive diagnostics knowledge and auto estimating tools
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely
- Maintain detailed records of all services performed, parts used, and customer interactions for seamless workflow management
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures
- Experience working with service technicians on vehicle repairs including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension work, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, alignment, auto body repair, and auto estimating
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Familiarity with automotive sales processes and automobile sales experience is a plus
- Cash handling experience combined with mechanical knowledge enhances your effectiveness in this role
