What you’ll do
- Safely transport students to and from school, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
- Manage student behavior on the bus to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, providing support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Collaborate with school personnel to address any transportation-related concerns or issues.
- Stay informed about traffic laws and regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus!
- Experience working with children, demonstrating patience and understanding in various situations.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks on the bus.
- Customer service orientation to interact positively with students, parents, and staff.
