Firefly Tutors is hiring a Special Education SPED Tutor for elementary school student
This is a year-round position for the 25/26 school year and beyond
IN-HOME / IN-PERSON tutoring ONLY
Special Education SPED Tutor for elementary school students needed in Dana Point CA, 92629 and surrounding areas (IN-PERSON ONLY)
MUST BE AVAILABLE to tutor some school hours throughout the week, start immediately, and continue tutoring through the 25/26 school year
Ideal tutor candidate must have/be:
- Bachelor's degree or above
- Engaging, skilled, creative, compassionate, intuitive, encouraging tutor
- Experience working with students who have special needs (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
- Versed in K - 6 curriculum instruction for math and English
- At least 1-2 years of experience working with students
Responsibilities
- Provide individual tutoring in math and English to enhance student understanding and performance
- Identify how students learn best
- Implement creative, engaging lessons tailored to students' needs
- Utilize learning technology to facilitate effective teaching and learning experiences
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth
ADDITIONAL ACADEMIC SUBJECTS and SKILLS INCREASES TUTOR EARNING POTENTIAL
Pay is $35 per hour
1-10 hours per week, Part-time only
In-home tutoring only
