The main responsibility of this role is preparing nutritious and tasty meals for dorm students. The talented applicant will assist the Food Service Lead (Senior) including student in the safe and hygienic preparation of meals. They will maintain, clean, and sanitize a safe and orderly kitchen and dining environment. They will also be required to assist in preparing food for special school functions and visitors.

Qualifications
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Have a demonstrated ability to cook a wide variety of different meal options.
- Have a demonstrated understanding of the English and Samoan language and concepts (verbal and written).
- Have a demonstrated ability to lead, instruct and work together with groups of students.
- Has medium to large scale cooking experience
- Highly organized, with the ability to carry out deep cleaning and maintain a high level of cleanliness
- Ability to communicate effectively and regularly participate in a Professional Learning Community
- Ability to accept and to act upon constructive feedback, including participation in professional development
- A diploma in cooking & hospitality, or food preparation & food hygiene or food handlers’ certificate is highly desirable.
- Maintains Temple worthiness standards
