Community Support Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Support Associates to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in various community and residential settings. This role involves supporting residents with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting a comfortable, respectful environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare, caregiving, or social services, with a passion for improving the quality of life for those with diverse needs. Prior experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care is highly valued. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor residents’ health and well-being through patient observation and vital signs documentation
• Administer medications and follow care plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols
• Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and nutrition needs
• Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s, or autism spectrum disorders
• Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control standards
• Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare team members
• Respond promptly to emergencies using CPR or first aid skills when necessary
• Support residents during outings or community activities to promote social engagement

Qualifications

• Prior experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care preferred
• Knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer’s care
• Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and compassionate attitude toward residents with diverse needs
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when required and assist with resident mobility
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
• Experience working with people with disabilities or developmental challenges is advantageous
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications related to caregiving is a plus

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
