We are seeking someone to learn and take over our shipping department while handling customer calls as needed. The ideal candidate will be responsible for packaging government contracts and preparing customer shipments to support our clients. Position Overview: As a shipping department manager, your primary responsibilities will include receiving shipments, inventory, quality control, packaging, labeling, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor inbound and outbound shipments
- Prepare labels and package according to the Government specifications
- Handle Inventory per QuickBooks Enterprise data
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning if needed
- Checking product availability and pricing
- Fulfilling orders and updating as needed
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks Enterprise
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to transcribe information accurately
- Prior experience in shipping and customer service a plus
- Familiarity with office procedures and clerical tasks
- Ability to adapt and multitask as we are in transition of systems and new prodedures.
Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
