Job Summary

Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Observe and report any changes in clients' physical or emotional conditions.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs as required.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA and resident rights.
- Provide first aid as necessary and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their specific needs are met.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred, especially in nursing homes or similar environments.
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and principles, including first aid and patient observation skills.
- Understanding of resident rights and the ability to advocate for clients effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to perform light cleaning tasks as part of maintaining a safe living environment.
