Typical Hours: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday (must have the flexibility to work the occasional Saturday)

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage overall facility operations, including maintenance, security, and space utilization.
• Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Implement and enforce best practices to maximize productivity and minimize errors.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement to enhance operational processes.
• Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
• Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members.
• Implement and maintain effective inventory management processes to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and coordinate physical inventories as needed.
• Monitor and analyze inventory levels to support optimal stocking strategies.
• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and training programs.
• Stay abreast of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve any safety or compliance issues.
• Collaborate with customer service and account management teams to understand client requirements and expectations.
• Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and meet service level agreements (SLAs).
• Oversee the implementation and utilization of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology tools.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in warehouse management and 3PL operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using warehouse management systems and other relevant technology tools.
• Knowledge of food safety, food defense, industry regulations and safety standards.

 

Job Requirements:

All candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management/supervision in a 3PL environment.
• Some experience on sit down forklift preferred.
• Ability to repetitively lift, push and pull 50 pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend, and reach.
• Must have the ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.

 

Background Verification:

Alta Warehousing & Logistics requires all applicants to undergo a background verification process prior to commencing employment with the company. Employment with Alta is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a pre-employment background check which includes drug screening.

Typical Hours: 5:00am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday (Must have the flexibility to work the occasional Saturday)
