Utility Inspector (T-Line)

Title: Utility Inspector - Transmission
Location: Remote (work from home) eligible

Celerity is looking for Desktop Utility Inspectors to join our Utility consulting team. As a Desktop Utility Inspector, you will facilitate projects by performing qualified transmission aerial inspections via desktop reviews of drone imagery.  These inspections are pivotal to the safety of transmission electric lines throughout the state of California.

This role requires an attention to detail and the ability to utilize various computer systems and programs to perform this work. 

You will receive specialized training to perform this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Review data in the form of video and/or photographs received from aerial drones.Work with other Inspectors within the internal and external team to collaborate on various issues and inspection review questions.Utilize various computer systems and programs to perform inspections of transmission power poles and towers.Inspect for visual pole integrity, asset management data discrepancies (including GPS location), cross arm angle and integrity, joint pole cable management, signage, vegetation clearance, insulator integrity, and guy wire integrity, at a minimum.

Qualifications

2 Years combined experience in one or more of the following roles:Journeyman Lineman, preferably transmission, substation journeyman electrician, journeyman electrical technician or similar role, with a valid Journeyman Card.Electrical Engineer or similar roleTransmission line (T-line) electrical inspector or similar role

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similarDetail-oriented, analytical, and strong communication skills.General understanding of the utility businessGeneral knowledge of various components of Transmission poles and towers.

Expected Salary
$33 - $40/hour DOE





 

The salary range for this position is provided in good faith and is subject to variation based on geographic location, candidate experience, and market conditions. Final compensation will be determined after a comprehensive evaluation of the candidate’s qualifications and alignment with the role.
