The Role: Executive Security Center Supervisor –Mountain View, CA 


The Supervisor of the Executive Security Center (ESC) provides leadership and strategic direction for the security program safeguarding senior executives, their families, and critical assets. This role is responsible for the overall operational effectiveness of the ESC, ensuring 24/7/365 monitoring, threat assessment, and incident response. The Supervisor oversees proactive threat intelligence, protective operations, travel security, and technical systems, while ensuring the team adheres to the highest standards of professionalism and compliance to enable business continuity and executive mobility. 


Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

Operational Leadership & Supervision:

  • Daily Operations Oversight: Directs day-to-day ESC operations, including task allocation and performance monitoring of all personnel to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Incident Management: Serves as the primary point of contact and incident commander for all security incidents detected or reported through the ESC. Ensures rapid assessment, escalation, and coordination of response efforts according to established protocols.
  • Policy & Procedure Adherence: Ensures strict adherence to all security policies, procedures, and standing operating procedures (SOPs) within the ESC. Identifies areas for improvement and contributes to the development and refinement of existing documentation.
  • Technology Management: Oversees the proper functioning and utilization of all ESC security technologies, including but not limited to:
    • Access control systems
    • CCTV/video surveillance platforms
    • Alarm monitoring systems
    • Global threat intelligence platforms
    • GPS tracking and executive protection technologies
    • Communication systems (radios, emergency notifications)
  • Quality Control: Implements and maintains quality control measures for all ESC activities, including report generation, incident logging, and data accuracy.
  • Crisis Response Coordination: Acts as a key coordinator during crisis events, facilitating communication between executive protection teams, corporate leadership, and external agencies as required. 

Personnel Management & Development:

  • Team Leadership: Provides strong, decisive leadership to ESC personnel, fostering a culture of vigilance, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Training & Development: Identifies training needs for ESC staff and coordinates internal and external training programs with the ESC manager, to enhance the team’s skills.
  • Performance Management: Evaluates staff performance, providing regular feedback and implementing professional development plans to maintain high operational standards.
  • Scheduling & Staffing: Is capable of handling all scheduling needs.  Assists in the recruitment of new ESC personnel.
  • Mentorship: Mentors and develops ESC staff fostering a collaborative team environment. 

Intelligence & Analysis:

  • Threat Monitoring: Oversees the continuous monitoring of global, regional, and local threats that could impact executives, key personnel, or company operations. This includes geopolitical events, civil unrest, crime trends, and cybersecurity threats.
  • Intelligence Dissemination: Ensures timely and accurate dissemination of critical threat intelligence and security alerts to relevant stakeholders, including executive protection teams, corporate leadership, and travel managers.
  • Risk Assessment Support: Contributes to ongoing risk assessments by providing insights from ESC operations and threat monitoring activities. 

Communication & Reporting:

  • Stakeholder Communication: The supervisor is the primary on-site POC for the client, and should develop a strong professional relationship with the client liaison and all appropriate client stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Authorizes and prepares comprehensive reports on ESC activities, incidents, and threat assessments for senior management review.
  • Briefings: Conducts regular briefings for ESC personnel and provides updates to management as required.
  • Documentation: Ensures all ESC documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with company standards.

System & Process Improvement:

  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance ESC processes, technologies, and overall operational effectiveness.
  • Technology Integration: Collaborates with IT and other departments to evaluate, recommend, and integrate new security technologies that can improve ESC capabilities.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Participates in and contributes to company-wide emergency preparedness and business continuity planning.
  • Audit & Compliance: Assists with internal and external audits related to security operations and ensures compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices. 


Requirements:

 Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • Advanced expertise in physical security protocols, emergency management, and risk mitigation methodologies.
  • Proven leadership capability with experience in personnel management, scheduling, and team motivation within high-pressure environments.
  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret data, identify patterns, and make informed decisions during critical situations.  
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief diverse stakeholders on complex security matters.
  • Proficiency with enterprise security technology suites and global threat intelligence platforms.
  • Global Awareness: Understanding of international security issues and cultural sensitivities across different regions. 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Ability to work flexible/non-standard corporate schedules  
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute multiple critical tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced corporate setting.
  • Be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior. 
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft office, wireless technology, CCTV networks, and fire/security alarm systems.  
  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently. 

Pay and benefit information: 

  • Job type: Full time Exempt 
  • Location: Mountain View, CA   
  • Pay: Starting pay will be between $135,000-$140,000 annually based on experience and qualifications 
  • Health Insurance for full time employees

Details: 

  • 40 hours a week  
  • 5 days a week onsite required (Monday-Friday)
  • Rotating Day (7am-3pm) and Swing (2pm-10pm) shifts
  • Ability to work flexible hours when required  

Salary : $135,000 - $140,000
