HVAC & Refrigeration TechnicianA growing food manufacturing operation within a temperature-controlled production environment is seeking a skilled HVAC & Refrigeration Technician to support the continuous operation of our frozen food manufacturing and warehouse facility. This role is critical to maintaining precise temperature control across production and storage areas to ensure product integrity, operational efficiency, and full compliance with food safety standards.The position requires strong troubleshooting abilities, the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively, and a consistent commitment to maintaining high performance and safety standards. It is ideal for a technician who takes pride in technical craftsmanship, problem-solving, and ensuring that all HVAC and refrigeration systems operate safely, reliably, and efficiently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Full-Time | On-Site | Northern NJ (Yummy Acai Manufacturing Facility)Key Responsibilities:Inspect, diagnose, and repair HVAC and industrial refrigeration systems, including walk-in freezers and refrigerated storage areasMaintain stable temperature and airflow to support frozen product integrity and food safety standardsPerform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, ventilation, and freezer systemsTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issuesRespond to urgent system failures to minimize production downtimeAssist in planning repairs, replacements, and system upgrades with Maintenance leadershipMaintain accurate maintenance logs and service documentationManage parts inventory and toolsEnsure compliance with facility safety and sanitation standardsQualifications & Experience:3 years of hands-on HVAC and refrigeration service experienceExperience working in industrial, warehouse, or food manufacturing environments preferredStrong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skillsEPA 608 Certification (required)NJ HVAC license preferred (if applicable)Ability to interpret schematics, service manuals, and control diagramsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with maintenance and production teamsComfortable working in freezer environments and temperature-controlled areasWork Environment / Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbsComfortable working in:Walk-in freezersMechanical roomsWarehouse production areasElevated platforms/rooftops when requiredMay require on-call availability to support Saturday’s operationsCompensation & Benefits:Competitive hourly rate: $30 – $35 per hour, based on experience and certificationsOvertime opportunities availableFull-time positionBenefits package ( health, PTO, etc.)Stable long-term opportunity within a growing manufacturing operation
