Position Overview:
We are seeking a Project Administrator / Assistant Project Manager to support our construction team in managing the day-to-day administrative and coordination aspects of our projects. This role is ideal for someone with construction experience who is highly organized, proactive, and looking to grow into a project management position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts
- Support Project Managers and Superintendents with daily administrative and coordination tasks
- Coordinate project schedules, meetings, and communication between clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Assist with permitting, inspections, and compliance documentation
- Track project budgets, timelines, and deliverables to ensure projects stay on schedule
- Prepare project reports, meeting notes, and client updates
- Help solicit and organize subcontractor and supplier pricing when needed
Requirements:
- Experience in construction administration, project coordination, or a related role
- Basic understanding of construction processes, documents, and terminology
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience with construction management software (Procore, Buildertrend, or similar)
- Familiarity with local permitting processes and building codes
