Second-Shift Operations Supervisor
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 7:00 p.m.–3:00 a.m.
Position Summary
Lead second-shift warehouse, cross-dock, and transportation operations to ensure rental inventory is processed accurately, employees work safely and productively, and customer deliveries and pickups are completed on time. This hands-on leadership role oversees daily staffing, workflow, routing, yard activity, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Direct the cleaning, picking, packing, repair, processing, and staging of rental inventory in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Assign work and coordinate employee schedules to meet warehouse, cross-dock, and transportation needs.
Monitor staffing, workflow, labor utilization, and resources to meet service commitments and budget goals.
Train, coach, and develop employees; reinforce expectations for safety, quality, attendance, and productivity.
Coordinate daily routes and oversee inbound and outbound transportation to support safe, efficient, on-time deliveries and pickups.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
Review driver paperwork, routing documents, and transportation records for accuracy and compliance.
Lead daily transportation and cross-dock meetings to communicate priorities, updates, and operational challenges.
Identify and address operational issues in partnership with Customer Service and other departments.
Oversee yard activity, including trailer movement, vehicle staging, equipment use, and material handling.
Assist with facility operations, housekeeping, and maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
At least three years of supervisory experience in warehouse, logistics, transportation, distribution, or a related field.
Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven operation.
Transportation, routing, cross-dock, or distribution experience strongly preferred.
Associate degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
Hands-on leadership approach with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
