What You’ll Do
As a Maintenance Trainee, you’ll work under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and senior team members to learn the full range of property maintenance duties. You’ll gain valuable hands-on experience while helping to ensure our communities meet A&G’s high standards for safety, appearance, and functionality.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in maintaining the physical condition of the community
- Learning and following all company policies, procedures, and maintenance standards
- Assisting with apartment make-readies and general repairs
- Reporting issues or maintenance needs to your supervisor
- Taking initiative in learning all aspects of property maintenance
- Providing excellent customer service to residents and staff
- Participating in meetings, training sessions, and company events
- Performing snow removal and emergency on-call services when required
This position includes on-the-job training to help you earn your CFC Certification in HVAC, which is required for promotion to Maintenance Mechanic status. One season of A/C repair experience is also required before advancing.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Maryland Driver’s License
- Reliable, insured vehicle with proper registration
- Must provide your own tools
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Great communication and customer service skills
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday
- On-call rotation and weekends as needed
Compensation
