What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Associate position at A & G Central Music?
We are looking for a customer service orientated person to join our sales team. We offer a fast paced, colaborative work enviroment with the opportunity to serve our community music programs. You will be responsible for interfacing with parents and students involved in school music programs. Responsibilities include working with parents to establish and service student rental accounts, communicating instrument repair needs between our customers and instrument technicians, and the sale of band and orchestra instruments and accessories. Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and create a positive environment
- Explain products and services to customers
- Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock
- Take payments on rental instrument accounts
- Handle rental instrument returns and exchanges
- Complete all paper work quickly and accuratley in an organized fashion
- Listen to and communicate customer needs in regards to accessories and instrument repairs
- Communicate estimates for repair services and address any customer needs with our repair technicians
- Set up new rental accounts for beginning musicians
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints
- Ability to work long hours in the fall "back to school" season
- Follow up on all customer orders and special needs
- Take the extra mile to engage customers
Skills
- Proven customer support or sales experience
- Track record of achieving loyal customers and repeat business
- Strong phone and in person contact skills and active listening
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with school music programs is a plus
- Ability to play a woodwind, brasswind, string, or percussion instrument is a plus, but not necessary.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
