What are the responsibilities and job description for the Withdrawal Specialist Temporary 8-10 Weeks position at A First Choice Staffing Service?
We have a temporary Withdrawal Specialist for 8-10 weeks. This is a full-time position with three 12-hour shifts, a day shift from 6 am to 6:30 pm, 36 hours a week. QMHA plus CRM certifications are preferred but not required. This is NOT A TRAINING POSITION without some medical hands-on experience or schooling.
$21.50-$24.73 DOE
Required:
Must have previous experience as a withdrawal specialist, medical assistant, or CNA II.
Must have CPR and BLS certification
The Withdrawal Specialist engages directly with clients, assists with admissions, provides safety monitoring, supports nursing staff, and helps maintain readiness of client rooms and common areas. This is an ideal position for someone who is passionate about recovery, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can balance compassionate engagement with operational support.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Provide direct client support, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being during withdrawal.
- Monitor client behavior, observe withdrawal symptoms, record vital signs, and escalate concerns to nursing staff.
- Assist with admissions and discharges, including intake support and room readiness.
- Orient clients to the program, facility, and available recovery resources.
- Offer trauma-informed engagement to promote stabilization and recovery participation.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe client rooms and common areas.
- Support clients with hydration, nutrition, and distribution of meals or essentials.
- Accurately document client observations and interactions in compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated care and program support.
- Follow safety protocols and promptly report incidents or changes in client status.
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
