Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills, lathes, or both)
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools
- Perform tool changes, offsets, program edits, and troubleshooting
- Ensure parts meet quality and tolerance specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report issues to supervision
- Work collaboratively with team members and follow production schedules
Requirements
- 2 years of CNC machining experience preferred
- Hands-on experience with CNC setup and operation
- Strong understanding of G-code and CNC programming fundamentals
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Basic shop math skills
- Experience with HAAS, Mazak, Fanuc, or similar CNC controls a plus
- Manual machining experience preferred but not required
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (such as SolidWorks) is a plus
- Must be a Journeyman Welder
- Welding and fabrication experience strongly preferred
- Forklift experience or certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
